heart aches

last weekend i was driving with 3 small children in a hot van, with a heat index of 116, exhausted, feeling alone and rather helpless.
as the tears and sweat rolled down i prayed- Dear Lord, you never said it would be easy... If life is hard does that mean we are living it right? Help me!

we arrived at an air conditioned destination, the babies must have known i needed them to be angels because everyone went down for a nap and i found some rest & peace in His strength.
Ours is the usual situation of balancing ministry and finances, relationships and bills, stress and trust. Sometimes we fail, but He is faithful.

My sweet sister at the same time had tears of her own, helplessness no one wants to feel. she shares about it here.
prayers and time will help, but things are changed.

challenges & loss aren't easy but,
"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." -Psalms 34:18

as Jillie so eloquently wrote, God is sufficient.

this morning Leland & Emory were singing You Are My Sunshine and it was incredibly precious. Thanking Him for these moments where what's important is very clear.

You're doing a great job! I don't even have to be there to know that. So glad there is hope behind those tough days. I read Jillian's blog last night and my heart hurts for her, but her hopefulness and courage shined through her post. Prayers for you guys!
