"Happy Birthday to Daddy"

(Joel's first New Year (84/85))

Leland chose the title for this post:O)

Today is Joel's birthday. we have been together for about 9 years now, married for 6. Crazy to know a person that long and see how they grown and get more awesome as the years roll by.

(City Museum 2003)

Honey-
i am so proud of the man that you have become. You are a dedicated provider, wonderful father and romantic husband.
i love that you are so in love with our children, and are still a kid at heart yourself.

i love that you were genuinely, 100% blown away when i got you the surprise iphone. (i only got it because it was such a good deal and you were so fine with never having one, even though you reeeeeeeeeeeeally wanted one, so you have yourself to thank, in a way... but mostly thank me.)

I love that you have in this year- watched Pride & Prejudice with me, agreed to taking dance lessons with out prompting and softened (at least outwardly) to the idea of baby number 3. (i'm gonna keep praying!)

( i mean look how great he looks with babies?!?!)

i love that we are a team that compliments each other on good days, makes magic on great days, and annoys the heck out of each other on bad days... mostly i like that our bad days are getting to be few and far between.

(2006 when we told family we were pregnant)

i love that you love the Lord and strive to lead our family to Him daily.

Once a wise man, the father of my friend Jessica, said that men are finally worth something, and get their act together when they turn 25. Now, not that you were worthless before (because you weren't), but there is something to this sentiment- the past year has been great and i can't wait to see how awesome your 26th year will be.

love you.

Baby number 3!! Baby number 3!!...

Happy birthday to Joel. The friend of just about every man, woman, and child he happens along. Indeed he has grown from a cool guy into a good man. It's getting to where I can barely find stuff to rib him about anymore.

That is a very sweet post my friend! I too vote for baby number 3! Emory is big enough, you name them the best names, and the pregnant club is where all the cool girls are wink wink!
